Rules

Roll cages need an extra bar both n/side and o/side min 4” long from the upright to roof bar. (check 2011 rule book for pictures)

Bonnet pins made from alloy are no longer allowed.

Plug leads are to remain standard O.E type so no fancy magnecor e.t.c.

Buying/selling rule was discussed and has stayed the same at £400 cut off date same of 30th November.

Hydraulic handbrakes are not allowed. They should either be standard as produced or not have one.

The 1400cc Vauxhall Camshaft rule was voted out, as research has found that the 1600 gte/gsi O.E kit is available from several places including ebay.

Suspension is the same as before. It has been monitored all year and members are keeping it within a sensible height difference.

Policing spot checks will remain random, so checking seals/rev limiters/wheel rollers will be taking place at anytime throughout the year.

1400 16v engines were voted out at this point in time. The main opinion was felt that there was not yet a shortage of current engines/cars and not enough information has been collected about which other types would be suitable.

The next S/H mid year meeting will be held at the stock/hatch nationals at penine on sat 11th june usually just after racing finishes about . It was also decided that due to other clubs (YD + Y ) having race meetings on the same weekend, that the voting for the 1400 16v integration would also allow postal votes for members living more than 100 miles away.

Any other business

The meeting was opened to a general discussion.

Minutes of Stock Hatch AGM held at the Ripon Spa Hotel Sunday18th January 2009.

Below are the minutes as I wrote them down, if you have any queries or think I have made any mistakes, please contact me at malcolm@chilvers.net.

Once the minutes have been agreed I will update the rules and have them posted on the YD site for anyone to download.

Apologies
There were apologies from a number of Stock Hatch drivers who were unable to be present for one reason or another.

SHSC
Calvin Bradley, to remain as chairman for 2009 A defined voting system to be introduced prior to the next AGM SHSC members to be increased to a maximum of three per club, so that any “on the day” decisions can be made more easily. New SHSC members list to appear on the YD website shortly.

Disciplinary
A Yorkshire Dales Stock Hatch failed its post season scrutineering. The driver has lost all points for the 2008 season. YD policy is currently that they will not make public details of the cause of disciplinary action. If details should be made public this should be decided by YD members at a YD meeting.

Scrutineering

Currently it would seem that a number of clubs are not post season scrutineering Stock Hatches (in some cases also other classes). It is seen as unfair that drivers whose clubs do post season scrutineering are at a disadvantage against drivers from clubs who do not do post season scrutineering. All clubs should be doing post season scrutineering to keep a level playing field. A nominated person from the SHSC to be authorised to seal any Stock Hatch car within Autograss. Anyone with a vested interest in Stock hatch should not be checking engines therefore the nominated person to report any apparent discrepancies to a club, league or NASA scrutineer for checking. Refusal to have a car sealed will result in the person being reported to the SHSC.

The authorised person for 2009 will be Heath Luck. Diagrams for engine sealing to be drawn up and attached to the rules.

Sealing required for:- Rocker covers and cylinder heads ECUs Gearbox bell housing to engine YD will provide the seals for this year, funding to arrange for future years to provide unique numbered seals rather than lead seals with club stamp. This will ensure correct identification.

Rules
Three angle valve seats were discussed and due to it being hard to police, it was voted on whether to allow them or not. 75% voted in favour of allowing them, but only the valve seat, no modification is allowed to the throat at all. Flywheel shields are compulsory for all cars this year as per class 6 rules, clarification to be sought from NASA regarding their requirement for 2010 The proposed rules changes for 2009 from the 2008 meeting were agreed I.e. Rule 13 – to be reworded so that injection engines must remain injected Rule 16 – to be reworded, Carburettor is free providing that it will fit directly on to the (standard) manifold without any adaptors or modifications to either carburettor or manifold.

Selling Rule
The selling rule was agreed that the price would be raised to £400 for the complete engine, gearbox, manifolds and injection system or carburettors. The wiring and ECU would not be purchased. A person could only invoke the rule once during the year and an engine could only be purchased on one occasion during the year. A formal offer would have to be made to the committee of the club the car is registered with and the owner informed by them so that any offers would be formally recorded.

Pennine club will be holding the Stock Hatch Nationals once again this year on 13th & 14th June. A formal way of allocating the Stock Hatch Nationals to be discussed.
A letter of thanks to be sent to The Ripon Spa Hotel for the accommodation of the meeting.
